GREENESTO was a mobile workshop project developed by Design Factory Stuttgart with the aim of fostering climate awareness and promoting sustainable thinking in urban communities. The initiative brought interactive workshop experiences directly into the districts of Stuttgart using a fully electric workshop van, creating accessible, hands-on opportunities for reflection and co-creation. Participants explored sustainability challenges through dialogue, activities rooted in mindset change and the Design Thinking approach, and collectively developed actionable ideas. Together with partners from the University of Stuttgart and local schools, the workshops inspired people to reflect on their own role in sustainability and co-design solutions that can contribute to a greener future.

REENESTO invited participants to engage in meaningful conversation about climate change and sustainability in a welcoming and interactive environment. Through experiential activities and facilitated reflection, participants learned to question assumptions, explore new perspectives and co-develop ideas that connect personal behavior with broader environmental impacts. The mobile format ensured the workshops were accessible to diverse community groups and encouraged dialogue across generations.
Participants gained deeper awareness of sustainability issues and how their personal choices connect to broader ecological systems. They experienced collaborative idea generation and reflection methods influenced by Design Thinking and mindset change principles. The workshops provided practical insight into sustainability challenges and empowered participants to consider actionable steps in their everyday lives.
