This semester course brings together interdisciplinary student teams and industry partners to work on real-life innovation challenges, with a strong focus on ESG-related topics. Guided by experienced coaches, participants apply the Design Thinking methodology to explore problems from a user-centered perspective and develop innovative, responsible solutions. The course fosters co-creation, encourages a change of perspective, and enables participants to approach familiar challenges in entirely new ways. The program is conducted in collaboration with Stuttgart University, Stuttgart Media University, and the University of Hohenheim, creating a rich academic and professional learning environment.

You will collaborate with students from a wide range of disciplines and gain fresh perspectives on complex challenges. Throughout the course, you will apply Design Thinking to approach the innovation cycle from a desirability-driven perspective, break down internal barriers, and experiment with new ways of working. Supported by experienced coaches, you will take part in an iterative, hands-on process that encourages creativity, openness, and meaningful collaboration between academia and industry.

The Semester Course offers industry partners the opportunity to bring real innovation challenges into an academic learning environment and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary student teams. By contributing a challenge, partners gain fresh perspectives and a low-fidelity prototype for their challenge - while actively engaging with future talents.
